The Power of the Spoken Word

positive thoughts started this conversation

Hello everyone!

I am known as positive thoughts however at times I have to admit am human that negativity does strike and I must keep on guard at all times. This is very much helping me in doing so to keep positive and would like to share in hopes it may help someone else who maybe struggling and down and out not knowing where to turn.

The spoken word has power to create (Gen. 1) and to destroy (Mark 11:20), to build up and to tear down (Eph. 4:29)
The tongue is a bit, a rudder and a spark (James 3)
Audit your input & Edit your output (Psalm 141:3)
Faith comes by hearing (Rom. 10:17)
Mouth to heart to mouth (Luke 6:45, Deut. 30:14)

Sowing and reaping:
Whatever you sow that you will also reap. (Gal. 6:7)
words are seeds (Mark 4:14)
sow only that which you want to reap.

The process of growth is:
mysterious (Mark 4:27)
progressive-blade>head>grain in the head. (Mark 4:28)

Harvest is:
proportionate (11 Cor. 9:6)
in due season (Galatians 6:9) if we "do not lose heart."

We need to:
Keep on sowing (Galatians 6:9,10) without getting tired/discouraged/giving up.
sow, even with tears (Psalm 126:5-6)
sow, even in famine (Genesis 26:12)
wait patiently for the rains to come (James 5:7-8)
Encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

We do the sowing,
God does the Growing,
We do the reaping!

This has very much encouraged me and helped me to never give up. This was ministered to me at Morgans Point United Church by Pastor Jeeva Sam.
This post also goes along with the post on God's timing is always perfect.
God Bless each and Everyone of you! Jesus Loves you and so do I.

Thanks for your post PT. I especially like Gen. 26:12. Now here's a blessing for you...

May you speak the right words at the right time and may they be as beautiful as gold apples in a silver bowl. (Prov. 25:11)
